Might get back into 40k, is there enough people in AZ?

Postby TookeyTookey » Mon Jul 28, 2014 4:36 pm

So I wanna get back into Warhammer, was told 40k is the most popular in Phoenix and was just wondering if enough people go to Outpost Gaming, Crusaders Retreat or even Empire Games if I must to be able to make purchasing 300$ to 500$ worth of stuff worth it. Do not really wanna spend all that money if its only 5 people that circuit these 3 or other places all together ya know?

Hopefully there is a good amount of people as I would love to get back into the game.

Tons of people playing 40K regularly at Empire. Cant speak for IO from personal experience as its too far for me to travel (especially when Empire is so close to me), but i know they hold regular events, too, and that theres a healthy community out that way. Cant speak for Crusaders Retreat.

Also, theres been a resurgence in WHFB, so if Fantasy is more to your liking, tons of people playing it at Empire on a regular basis, too.

Best of luck, and welcome back!

IO has a decent core group of people that go on Tuesdays/Fridays/Saturdays.

I THINK ONCE YOU GET PAST THE "LEARNING CURVE" OF THE NEW 7TH EDITION, YOU ARE GOING TO REALLY LIKE IT.

My particular favorite is that GW has finally made the Psyker Phase what it always should have been -- the "game within the game" that Fantasy Battles has for it's Magick Phase.

You're going to really enjoy it. I think you should watch a few battle reports on FrontlineGaming.org or a few other sources. You will see that 7th is actually really very cool and finally very dynamic with the mission variations. It's fun, more balanced and Wacky fun with the Maelstrom Mission cards. Enjoy it my friend!

I must concur!
