I thought about whether the saurus cavalry is worth it and trading them out for 2 stegadons. But they upped the attacks on cold ones to 2 a piece. Makes for 4 str 4 attacks per model.

I'd take two stegs over cav any day. Harder to kill, hit harder.

Harder to kill in combat maybe but the cavalry will survive a cannon better and can potentially negate ranks. Spears on the CoC are worth the cost.

I don't think chameleons are really worth it. Any canny opponent isn't going to leave them a place in the back and for the points a ripperdactyl unit gives you some good mobility, and against fast cavalry and most infantry they hold their own. The blot toad is a nice psychological trick as well.

True, but if there's no Stegadons, I'm shooting my cannons into the Temple Guard brick every turn...

I fail to see why you take the gleaming pendant in the temple guard if your slann bsb is in the unit

If your shooting the temple guard your not shooting the skinkes who will kill your cannons turn 2 or three. Steggies may be worth while, but I think the cav will do well with the hero.
