Flames of War Great War

Since I already play FoW, Great War as an expansion doesn't technically count as a new game, right?
I picked up the rules at Game Depot via the Wargames Illustrated magazine for August.
Still need the current rulebook to play but it provides a lot of stuff to capture flavor of WWI.

The armies aren't available yet but are due out soon.
Watched BF's battle report using the 2 boxed armies and it looked pretty cool.

I will be picking up both of the starter armies. I am more interested in the early war period but if this is to become something that BF gets into in a big way it needs support. It looks really cool.

Is IO planning on carrying it, do yo know?

I doubt that anyone locally will stock it. Fow is really dropping locally as a stocked game. I am sure IO or Game Depot will order it for you. I don't expect to see these on the shelves.

Only 2 armies?

Only Germans and Brits are available so far as the game is just releasing.
Each starter army runs $100 a pop.

IO had both starter armies for Germans & Brits today.
Picked up the Germans. Comes with HQ, 2 inf platoons, MG plt, infantry gun plt and the 2 A7Vs that everbody keeps whinging about (but they only made 20 ever!!!)

Looking forward to giving this a go.

so i thought about this awhile ago and then after watching Apocalypse WW1, thought even more about playing it but maybe in a smaller scale to be more epic.

Too late i guess since trigger happy P4H bought into 15mm
