Re: Question - What putty do you use?

Blu tac works for me.

Yes, it does lose its stickiness the more you reuse it, but you can get a butt load for less than $2.00 at Walmart, so you shouldn't have a problem throwing out what's served its purpose and will no longer hold your models securely...

Re: Firestorm Planetfall Roll Call

It's definitely gained some interest at Empire Games, enough so that Brock went ahead and got a few copies of the 2-player starter to try out (they've sold out now; no telling when he'll get more, or expand to carry the other factions' helixes). I've seen a few demo games, and it looks interesting, ...

Re: Places and times that would be good to learn 40k?

If you're more on the East Side, Empire Games in Mesa usually has a good crowd on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (and pretty much any day of the week, depending on the day and the mood of the community, but those days are pretty reliable.). Oh, and I think there's a good crowd on Sundays, too, but...

Re: Nagash book, any thoughts?

I'm sure they have done this to be helpful, I mean who really wants one complete reference source anyway? Well, perhaps I'll just retire to the workshop and concentrate on painting again for a year. There's always Dropzone Commander, Jeremy. That's been keeping me pretty busy, and getting games in ...

Re: Questions about Airbrushes?

Also, to add to these excellent comments, you want to be sure to get an airbrush that has a dual action trigger, not a single action. So with the dual action, you press down on the trigger to increase air flow from the compressor, and pull back on the trigger to widen the aperture at the tip and thu...

Re: What do you guys think of assault centurions?

I faced them vs Dan's SM army. 5 of them in a Land Raider Redeemer with Pedro Kantor. Absolutely brutal! Expensive in points, but brutal as hell. He then had Ultramarines allies, and Tigurius giving them a 5++ invul save. Don't know if you can still do that in 7th, but it made them nigh on invincib...

Re: Might get back into 40k, is there enough people in AZ?

Tons of people playing 40K regularly at Empire. Cant speak for IO from personal experience as its too far for me to travel (especially when Empire is so close to me), but i know they hold regular events, too, and that theres a healthy community out that way. Cant speak for Crusaders Retreat. Also, t...

Re: Return to 40k?

I'll see if I can't get my hands on this box coming out and go from there... :) If you're talking about the new 40K boxed set with Orks and Space Wolves (Sanctus Reach?), you'd better hurry and get your name on a list at Empire (or IO, don't know for sure if they're taking names down, but I know Ji...
